Start of My Journey to Fit

So, I have decided to share my new weight loss journey. I plan to share with you what has worked, what hasn't in hopes of two things.

One- As a way for me to be accountable- helping you, helps me.

Two- Maybe my story and journey will resonate with you and inspire you to join me and go on your own journey.

A little about me first...

I was always the chubby kid. Seriously, always. Like, the last time that I was "skinny" was when I was 3 years old, I kid you not.

Growing up junk food and pizza ruled the house. I NEVER drank water. Honestly, I didn't even know water was a thing that you drank. I thought it was just for toilets, showers, washing dishes and brushing your teeth. You might be shocked at that but it is the honest truth. It wasn't until my mom went on a health kick when I was about 13 years old that I actually found out water was something you were supposed to drink.


I was constantly a yo-yo dieter from that time around 13 yrs old until now. I have gone to all sorts of extremes like restricting calories to less than 1,200/day and at the same time working out for 2+ hours a day burning 1,500+ calories/day 6-7 days a week. I have lost 50 lbs, then right after gained 30 lbs. Lost 20lbs, gained 40 lbs. If you name a "diet" or a supplement, I can almost guarantee you I have tried it, or something similar to it. I have had two kids and with both pregnancies I gained over 30 lbs and that's with already being over 200lbs when I got pregnant- so I certainly didn't "need" to gain it.


My yo-yo dieting has taught me a lot. My body has taught me a lot.

Two things I know hold true for me and my body.

One- I need to track my calories and stay within certain macros.

Two- I need to workout. I can't just lose weight with food.

This time feels different because it is time for no more excuses and I know what I need to do for my body. I am not really looking for the quick fix or the fast weight loss like I was before. I know it will take time and I am content if I lose 2 lbs in a week or 0. It is time to "release" this weight. Not "lose" it. When you lose something, you find it. Not planning to find it this time.


So, I will share with you what I eat throughout the day- the calories and macros that I follow, and some recipe ideas for you. I will also share the type of workouts I do.
